Using just mental models, which is done most frequently, for business challenges poses serious risks. In contrast, the business opportunity driven software model's simulations show quantified scenarios that mitigate potential problems. The scenarios facilitate scientific decision making by the business leaders.
OUR SERVICES
We build simulation models specific to your business challenge using well tested generic structures and/or statistical models. We deliver services through the following iterative and rigorous modeling process:
1. Problem Articulation (Boundary Selection): This includes theme selection, key variables, time horizon, problem or opportunity definition
2. Formulation of Hypothesis: This includes initial hypothesis generation, endogenous and exogenous metrics & related mapping
3. Formulation of a Simulation Model: This includes model specification, estimation & tests
4. Testing
5. Policy Design & Evaluation
OUR DELIVERY
The result of step 3 of our process is a prototype simulation model. This model can run the solution scenarios. Each scenario shows quantified results and metrics for leadership decision making. Steps 1 through 3 of our delivery process is all pro bono work. It is sufficient to achieve business results.
To go beyond the prototype stage, we require using an industry expert partner company for steps 4 and 5 of our process to deliver the best possible simulation model. This is a paid service fee charged by the industry expert partner directly to you from which we do not benefit. In most cases, we do not recommend utilizing this service.
After step 3, we also provide pro bono assistance in implementing the prototype model in the real world, if mutually agreed.
